I read this to my 9 yr old, who LOVES any spy stories and he said this is one of his favorites. We are now reading Spy Camp (the sequel to Spy School). My only complaint is the cursing...I could skip over the words since I was doing to reading, but I would not recommend it for young children if they are reading it themselves. It is beyond me why they feel the need to put that kind of language in children's literature!

I am 9 years old and loved this book so much. It is a good book full of details that will keep your eyes glued to the pages! This is a perfect book for boys and girls. It will keep you at the edge of your chair. I recommended the serie to my class. You might give up playing video games to read this book. It is a very funny book and filled with plenty of action. Tell your mom to buy the second book as soon as you start the first one because trust me you won't want to wait.
My kids love these books. We read together each night and they always want to read more, but my voice can only handle so much. ) Working on the fourth book in this series now and kids are still loving them. Have also read the Fun Jungle series and Moon Base Alpha series by this author. Kids love them all, and I actually enjoy them too. They keep you interested and engaged the whole time.
I really enjoyed reading this book. There was funny humor (the best kind), plot twists and interest during the entirety of the book.
Five stars for spy camp! This book is amazing! I was first introduced to the spy school book last year and I was instantly hooked! This is the sequel to spy school and I actually think I love the second book more than the first. Thank you Stuart Gibbs for turning old fashioned detective literature into hilarious books for people of all ages. I can't wait to see what happens to Ben next. If you think you are to sophisticated to read a children's book, y'all are wrong. I love this book and I know you will too. So don't think, just buy spy camp, or you'll be sorry.
My son is 10 and loves all things spy. He also is a great reader so finding larger books that are age appropriate can be difficult. He LOVES these books.
My son loves the whole series. He hated reading even though he is great at it all because he could never get into a book. He read 3 books from this series in about a week and a half at the end of his summer before 3rd grade. He couldn't put them down. He is a typical boy who normally just wants to be outside in the pool or running around except when these books showed up. This book got his brain moving always foreshadowing what's gonna happen. For parents struggling to get your kids reading, this is the book for you.
Fun kids book. Both my 9 and 11 year olds loved it. I didn't find it as great as they did, but I'm not the target audience for the book.

Some of the reviewers were upset about the language, I noticed the work a** once, which I wouldn't have expected in a book for 8-12 yr olds. Maybe there were more words that I didn't notice but one use of a** didn't quite qualify for all that controversy.
